This treatment combines The Derma Botanica Signature Facial with the sculpting affects of Gua Sha + the smoothing affects of the Red Light + Microcurrent. Using a genuine rose quartz stone Gua Sha is applied to decongest the skin, open energy meridians, increase circulation, aid lymphatic drainage, lift, tone and plump the skin creating a healthy, natural glow. Red Light + Microcurrent rejuvenates the skin at the cellular level - smoothing the skin and stimulating collagen production for natural visible results. *Note: Some patients may experience temporary headaches as a result of the Gua Sha detoxifying effect. **CONTRAINDICATIONS for Gua Sha: People who have had surgery within the past six weeks, anyone taking blood thinners, or anyone who has a clotting disorder, inflammation of the skin (rosacea, eczema, severe acne breakouts), sunburn. People who have had fillers or botox should wait at least three weeks after their procedure to do facial Gua Sha. ***CONTRAINDICATIONS for Red Light + Microcurrent: Anyone under the age of 18, people with electronic implanted devices, pacemaker, defibrillators/stimulators, pregnancy and epilepsy, photo-allergy and medications that cause light sensitivity (such as Tetracycline). Also, if you are currently taking steroids or cortisone injections, you should not receive light therapy.
